Creating an User Based Endpoint

Adding a SIP Trunk to your account

To purchase a SIP Trunk, follow these steps:

  1. Log in by either clicking on the login button in the header or by going to www.myttnc.co.uk
  2. Click on the myTTNC store tab in the left hand menu.
  1. Click on the Add Bolt On Services tab in the left hand menu.
  1. Click Buy on 'SIP Trunk' from the list.
  1. Select the number of channels you require, a minimum of 2 are required. Click on the Confirm button to add it to the basket.
  1. Proceed to Checkout to make the purchase. The SIP Trunk will be available to set up immediately.

Creating your SIP Trunk configuration

You can create the configuration details for your SIP Trunks in myTTNC. Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Log in by either clicking on the login button in the header or by going to www.myttnc.co.uk
  2. Click on the VoIP tab in the left hand menu.
  1. Click on the SIP Trunks tab in the left hand menu.
  1. Click on the green Create new Endpoint button.
  1. Select User Based Authentication and click Create Endpoint.

User Based Authentication

  1. Give the Endpoint a nickname and select the number you would like to display on your outbound calls.
  1. If you have multiple unconfigured SIP Trunks, select the amount of channels you would like to use for this configuration. If you only have one, this will default to the unconfigured trunk.
  1. Tick the 'Enable UK Emergency Services Access' box if you wish to be able to dial the UK Emergency Services, you will need to supply a location address once the Update details button is pressed.

8a. If the 'Enable UK Emergency Services Access' page is ticked the Address details must be entered. More information about Emergency Access can be found here

  1. Create a username (between 6 and 20 lower case characters, it cannot contain special characters) and a password (between 10 and 32 characters, with 1 lower case letter, 1 upper case letter, 1 digit and 1 special character).
  1. Click Add Endpoint.

Originating IP Addresses

Sometimes you may wish to protect your end equipment by placing it behind a firewall. Please can you ensure that at a minimum you allow incoming traffic from us on the following IP addresses on all ports:

Forwarding numbers to your SIP Trunk

In order to receive a call via your SIP Trunk, you need to create a call forward for the number. This can be done by following these steps:

  1. Log in by either clicking on the login button in the header or by going to www.myttnc.co.uk
  2. Click on the 'Phone numbers' option from the left hand menu.
  1. Click on the 'Edit' button on the number you want to forward calls to your SIP Trunk.
  1. Click Call Forwarding.
  1. Click on the drop down menu on the Destination field.
  1. Select your SIP Trunk from the list.

  2. Click the Confirm button.


Editing a SIP Trunk

You can edit SIP Trunks through myTTNC by following these steps:

  1. Log in by either clicking on the login button in the header or by going to www.myttnc.co.uk
  2. Click on the VoIP tab in the left hand menu.
  1. Click on the SIP Trunks tab in the left hand menu.
  1. Click on the blue Edit button.
  1. Edit the configuration details required.

If you've edited the Nickname, Display Number, Channel Selection or either tickbox, click Update details.

If you've edited the Username or Password, click Update credentials.


Deleting a SIP Trunk

You can delete SIP Trunks through myTTNC. Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Log in by either clicking on the login button in the header or by going to www.myttnc.co.uk
  2. Click on the VoIP tab in the left hand menu.
  1. Click on the SIP Trunks tab in the left hand menu.
  1. Click on the blue Edit button.
  1. Click Delete Endpoint.
