Port a Mobile Number to TTNC
Number Porting is the transfer of the management and billing of a telephone number from one service provider to another. Porting means you can keep your telephone number but change your service provider.
Porting a Mobile Number to TTNC is very simple.
PAC Request
First, you will need to contact your current provider and request a Porting Authorisation Code (PAC); this code will be valid for 30 days.
You should receive the code within a couple of hours, and there shouldn't be a charge for the request. If you're still under contract, you are likely to have a termination charge to end your contract.
Port Request
To begin the port, all you will need to do is send an email to [email protected] with the information below:
- The mobile number you're looking to port;
- Your PAC;
- Your current mobile provider;
- Your TTNC Customer Reference.
Once we receive the details, we will contact the losing provider, and the port should take place the next working day
Ported numbers become Virtual Numbers
When the number ports onto our network, it becomes a Virtual Number - this means that you will need to forward the newly ported number to a physical line - this can be a UK Landline or UK Mobile. Outbound SMS can only be sent via myTTNC.
