Call Screening
Call Screening will tell you who is calling and give you the choice of whether or not to accept the call. Screening calls before deciding to answer the call can make your business much more efficient.
To use this functionality, you will need to purchase this Bolt On or a package featuring this Bolt On - For more information, see our step-by-step Purchasing services guide.
Setting up Call Screening
Follow these simple steps to set up Call Screening:
- Log into myTTNC by going to www.myttnc.co.uk
- Click on
Phone Numbers
in the left-hand menu.
- Click on the three dots next to the number you wish to edit, then click on
Edit Forwarding
Time Based Forwarding or Virtual Receptionist set up?
This Bolt On will not show in the initial list of services. To set it up, go to:
- a Time Plan under Time Based Forwarding; or
- an option under Virtual Receptionist.

Turn Call Screening on, with the
On/Off
switch. -
Use the drop-down to select whether you wish to hear your TTNC number or the Caller's number.
- Click
Apply
to save your settings.
Next time you receive a call to your TTNC number, you will hear either the Caller's number or your TTNC number, and if you wish to take the call you can press '1'.
You can press '1' at any time to accept the call, to allow you to answer the call quicker.
Disabling Call Screening
Follow these simple steps to disable Call Screening:
- Log into myTTNC by going to www.myttnc.co.uk
- Click on
Phone Numbers
in the left-hand menu.
- Click on the three dots next to the number you wish to edit, then click on
Edit Forwarding
Time Based Forwarding or Virtual Receptionist set up?
This Bolt On will not show in the initial list of services. To remove it, go to:
- a Time Plan under Time Based Forwarding; or
- an option under Virtual Receptionist.
- Turn Call Screening off, with the
On/Off
switch.
- Click
Apply
to save your settings.
Next time you answer a call to your TTNC number, you will be connected straight away.
