Manage SMS groups

Any list you create will be saved as a group. So, for example, you'll be able to separate staff from client lists, or client lists from suppliers. You can then come back to any of your saved lists and send messages to them.

Entering contacts manually

If you would like to manually enter contacts into a new group just follow the steps below:

  1. Log in by either clicking on the login button in the header or by going to www.myttnc.co.uk
  2. Click on the SMS Services tab in the left hand menu.
  3. Select Manage Groups.

  1. If you would like to create a new group enter a name in the New group name input box. If you want to add the contacts to an existing group, select a previously created group from the drop down.

  1. To create the contact, enter their name in the first Contact input and then their mobile number in the second box. You can add or remove contacts by clicking the plus and minus buttons next to the contact fields.

  1. When you've entered all the relevant contacts, just click Add contacts to either create the new group or add to existing group.

Uploading a CSV

If you have a CSV with all your contacts, you can upload the file to quickly add the information:

  1. Log in by either clicking on the login button in the header or by going to www.myttnc.co.uk
  2. Click on the SMS Services tab in the left hand menu.
  3. Select Manage Groups.

  1. If you would like to create a new group enter a name in the New group name input box. If you want to add the contacts to an existing group, select a previously created group from the drop down.

  1. Click the Choose File button to browse your computer for the CSV file with all your contacts. Please ensure that when creating the CSV, you format the data into two columns:
  • First column: must contain the contact name
  • Second column: must contain the contact's mobile number

  1. Once the CSV file has been located, click Upload Contacts to either create the new group or add to existing group.

Adding from your Call Statistics

You can create a group from all the mobile numbers in your Call Statistics for a particular month:

  1. Log in by either clicking on the login button in the header or by going to www.myttnc.co.uk
  2. Click on the SMS Services tab in the left hand menu.
  3. Select Manage Groups.

  1. If you would like to create a new group enter a name in the New group name input box. If you want to add the contacts to an existing group, select a previously created group from the drop down.

  1. Select the virtual number you want to pull the statistics from using the drop down box.

  1. Using the Select CDR date drop down, choose the month you'd like to use the call statistics.

  1. Click Add Contacts to either create the new group or add to existing group.

Editing an existing group

After you've created a group, you can make changes when you need to.

  1. Log in by either clicking on the login button in the header or by going to www.myttnc.co.uk
  2. Click on the SMS Services tab in the left hand menu.
  3. Select Manage Groups.

  1. In the Edit existing groups section, choose a group from the drop down.

The table displays all of your current contacts in your group. Clicking the edit icons alongside each contact allows you to rename them and change their mobile number. To view more contacts, use the the next and previous arrows below the table to navigate through the pages.

You can also manually add a contact to the group by entering a contact name and mobile number in the two input boxes below and then clicking Add contact to group.
